Wota Kitchen LLC

Reclaiming Indigenous Ingredients

A Native-owned catering business offering plated meals, pop-ups and drop-off catering. We operate as a food stand and pop-up, with a mission to expand the Native food network and raise awareness of Indigenous cuisine in Portland. From traditional recipes to modern comfort foods, we tailor each menu to our customers’ tastes and cultural needs.

Wičówoyake - Our Story

Wota Kitchen began with a deep love for cooking and community. Founded by Wyatt, an enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST), the journey started in a family kitchen, cooking for his dad and little sister with whatever pantry staples were on hand. Inspired by hearing his grandmother say "Wota", when it was time to eat some good food. Over time, that care turned into comfort meals for birthdays, BBQs, and gatherings along the powwow trail. Today, Wota Kitchen brings Indigenous ingredients from across Turtle Island into familiar recipes like goulash, gabubu bread, and fresh homemade soups, while honoring nutritional needs and cultural values. From pop-up service to full-scale catering, we’re proud to serve meals that nourish, educate, and bring people together in Portland and beyond.
